During your training in logistics / transport, you can choose whether you would rather focus more on preparing for the journey and destination or on transport.

You can put yourself behind the wheel and joystick, or you can take care of the friendly service along the way. But you can also organize the route or transport in advance, or you can take care of the arrival and unloading at the destination.

Before a transport starts, you make sure that everything that belongs on board is on board. You check the condition of vehicles, monitor the loading of goods and the boarding of passengers and look for the best route. As a specialist in warehouse logistics, you have an overview of the warehouse and you know where everything is, and you don't have to be told how to professionally secure freight.

But you can also wait at the destination and receive the transport there. As a port logistics specialist, you know all the processes involved in port operations, for example: which ships are arriving, what goods are on them, and does some of the cargo perhaps need to be cooled or transported further? As a port skipper, you personally receive the ships.
