As a Banker or Bank Clerk, you are not afraid of numbers, dates, digitalization and the world of finance. The talent required is to understand customers and their needs. You love finding new solutions to make their banking experience more convenient and also help them personally.

During the apprenticeship, you’ll split your time between studies at an occupational school (Vocational Training Centre) and practical experience with a Bank. In the process, you’ll learn:

  • accounting, payment transactions and the credit business
  • capital formation, investments and the securities business
  • customer care, acquisition and loyalty

Employment and Career Ahead

Individuals can pursue further education or enter the workforce as fully qualified Bank clerks. They can work for banks, credit unions, or other financial institutions. The banking industry in Germany is highly regulated, and Bank clerks must meet specific requirements and qualifications in order to work in the field.
